This morning we went to 'Over the Moon', an Artisan Cheese shop in Putaruru. What amazing cheese they have, and the best one 'O.M.G Black Truffle Brie'.
They make all their cheese by hand and it is very labour intensive.

We have been in Putaruru for a couple of days. WHY!!! I hear you ask.
Well we went to walk the Blue Springs this was truly magnificent, 70% of New Zealand's bottled water is sourced from here, the water is a constant 11 deg. It was a long and very hot walk, but so worth it.
It was supposed to take about 90 minutes one way, that must be if you don't want to stop and look at the scenery. It was awe inspiring.
(Sorry a bit photo heavy, I couldn't just choose a couple to show you from hundreds)
And as if we weren't devils for punishment we went for another walk this time in Sanctury Mountain Maungatautari

Today we went to the Silo, to check out the time lapse photography by Joseph Michael, called Dark Cloud/White Light. It was amazing, they had huge TVs set up and you could sit on beanbags with headphones to listen to the music that went with the film. One part of the Silo had TVs on the roof and you lay on beanbags on the floor.
On one of the other Silos was some artwork by street artist BMD.
Tonight the Lantern Festival was also on at Albert Park, what an amazing site.
I have put a small collage together below, but to see all the photos click on the link below to go to my Flickr site.

Today we went to Glendowie to walk the Tahuna Torea track, at low tide you can almost cross the Tamaki Estuary, when walking out to the point of the sandspit. But of course you can't as it is still quite deep as the car ferry to Waiheke goes through here, plus other boats.
