March

Wednesday 1st March 2017
I am back in Onehunga

So as I said, I have started a new job, previously I was spending about 2 hours a day travelling to the city and back again so....TIRING!!!!
Along with all the other travelling it was all getting a bit much.

I am now working for a Health Society as a Team Leader for Clinical Administration, which is much closer to home, in fact my total travelling time on a good day is 20 minutes, on a bad day 30 minutes....what to do with that extra 1.5 hours in my day....

Tuesday 7th March 2017
How about this for an amazing sunrise, shame about the power lines!

There have been a lot of Rosella's around lately, this one in the tree outside the lounge window

We have had so much rain lately, it has just been constant with flooding.

Tuesday 14th March 2017
Tonight Michelle and I went to the Spiegeltent at Aotea Square to see Paris Combo, what a great show.
They play a mix of swinging gypsy-jazz, cabaret, French pop and Latino and Middle Eastern rhythms.

Saturday 18th March 2017
Tonight is White Night in the city of Sails this is an evening of shows, music and fun throughout the city as part of the Auckland Arts Festival.
We caught the bus into town so we wouldn't have to worry about parking.
First up dinner, this is 'Melt' a 'Cheese Truck' at Silo Park.
You can almost feel your arteries clogging up...but OMG delicious.

Malcolm had a Cheesesteak Raclette

and I had a Classic Raclette

If you are a queasy person you may not want to look at the next lot of photos!!
We went to an exhibition at the Silo called 'The Exquisite Wound' by Rebecca Swan.
These are all photos taken by Rebecca, and the animals were all collected of donated.

Sunday 26th March 2017
So we were going to go to the 'Antarctica - While you were Sleeping' at the Museum, but due the stormy weather we have had, it was cancelled, so all you get is a photo of the Museum at night.

This is what it should have looked like, and you would have been able to hear the ice cracking. Photo courtesy of Eventfinda

Malcolm has made a Whirligig, check out the video below.
