Over the past few days I have finished a few Christmas (I know..we don't want to think about it) things I have had sitting around, all small or miniature wall hangings.

In the garden....the Kakabeak is looking stunning, being only a miniature some of the branches are being weighed down by the weight of the flowers..
The birds too are in full song, with the Prunus being in full blossom the Tuis, Parrots and Waxeyes love it.

Today we went for a ride out to South Head, on the way we did a bit of 4x4 driving in Woodhill Forest, out past Lake Kerata...one of the big hills..

After this we went out to Waionui Lagoon, from here we could see Papakanui Spit, which is at the tip of the South Kaipara Peninsula..
