So whats happening.
This past week has been Art Week, and I've spent most of my spare time running around town following the Art Trails. I tried to get into some closed collections but these booked out pretty quickly, shame. There will be a tab at the top of the page on Monday night so you can see pictures of the Art Works.
Also around town there have been 2 cruise ships in, the Dawn Princess and the Oosterdam, also a huge vessel unloading 100's (1000's??) of cars.

Wandered down to The Cloud on a beautiful day, they have huge deck chairs you can lie on in the sun and enjoy your lunch right at the end of the wharf overlooking the harbour, it was a beautiful hot day the day I went, pretty magic.

Also down at Britomart was this amazing thermal steam water feature pond above the underground platform and outside glasshouse entrance of Britomart Transport Centre, New Railway Station, Old Chief Post Office.
Besides working thats all I've done this week!!
28th October 2012
It was a long weekend last weekend and we went to Waipu. Below is a brief summary but because there are quite a few pictures (naturally) I've put a tab at the top of the page.
The weather was glorious, we got none of the crap that was forecast (unless you count the one little shower on Sunday night). Even got a slight hint of sunburn, and just to prove it heres a photo of our thermometer!
Went to a place called Roots & Shoots!! and in case you're wondering they sell Tropical Plants & have a paintball type setup, and serve Devonshire Teas.
We went fishing on the Saturday and caught one mother fugly fish a stargazer, yucky and all slimy..brrrr.
Luckily Malcolm caught a couple of gurnard on the Friday (while some of us were working) so at least we had some fish for dinner.
Don't forget to check out the other photos on the Waipu tab above!

Anyway the weekends over and another week begins, what happened in the city this week.

Had lunch with Michelle at the Humbug Cafe in Rua Road, Glen Eden (for those who don't know I grew up in this street but not in this cafe!)
OMG the food is to die for, we had risotto cakes with roast pumpkin, feta, baby tomatoes, salad, orange & ginger dressing and aioli. This cafe got a 5 star review in the Canvas magazine, and I will definitely be going back.
Bottled the Vin d'Orange, oh my lord, this is an incredible drink, certainly packs a punch and can definitely only drink one glass of this at a time...but oh, so tasty.
I have added some more Art work to the Murals & Graffiti section so check it out.
...and to end this........a cute picture of a baby....
