End of Year Wrap Up

Well...I hope you all had a great Christmas and Santa was good to you.
Its nearly the New Year so I thought I would do a wrap up of the past month.

Wednesday 25th December 2013

Today is Christmas Day, Mum is coming over for lunch.
We started the day with Croissant French Toast with Fresh Strawberries, and home made Strawberry Jam.
OMG...Superb

No photo of Lunch, but we had Leg of Lamb, Boiled Potatoes, Roast Kumara, Fresh Beans and Cauliflower Gratin ...followed by!!!

Rosewater Pavlova, with Pomegranate Whipped Cream, topped with fresh Pomegranate, Raspberries and Rose Petals...sigh..scrummy.

I made quite a few of my Christmas Presents this year.

I made 6 in the first sitting by the time Christmas came I had made 12!!

I made Mum a couple of Cushion Covers.

Down at QE2 square there was an amazing duo playing called 'The French Touch', I could have stood there all day listening to them.

also today the Lord Nelson was in.

and because I can, I played around with some fibre optic Pohutukawa Flowers I had.

This year Christmas Trees starting popping up downtown, it was really nice to see the city getting into the spirit.

There was also an unusual painting done by BMD on the container at Queens Wharf!!

Sunday 1st December 2013

I know its early but I decided to put the Christmas tree up.

Its a fibre optic one, but for some reason was not working, so I put on some lights.
Do you think they were bright!!! Hell yes!

I ended up taking them off and putting them outside.

We also put up another tree (as you do) this time it was a wall tree, looks pretty neat.

and to end the day, another pretty spectacular sunset.
