What's been happening...

I've been a bit slack about my adventures around town lately.
For one it has been stinking hot and two it is still school holidays and there are so many parents and children in town, so I have been mainly just sitting at the Viaduct looking out to sea.

But there were a few things happening, there has been a lot of new cruise ships in.
First up was the Silver Shadow

Then there was the Seabourn Odyssey

..then we had three in on the one day.

The Silver Whisper which is the sister ship to the Silver Shadow.

next up was the Diamond Princess

and also the very small ship Caledonian Sky this ship only carries 114 passengers

Still on the water the Jet Boat racing across the harbour.

I also heard a rumour the boat below belongs to Michael Hill (Jeweller), it looks more impressive in "real life"

Also once again Prada has been spotted parked outside the Emirates shed!

The Ironman was on last week...but nah decided not to do it this year. LOL. But Round the Bays is coming up so I should get my walking shoes on I suppose.

Hmm. what else.
This container is down by the Cloud, its showing a movie which goes for just over an hour, its about Love & Dreaming, hence the name on the container.
Watched a bit but couldn't stay for all of it.

That's about it, just a few shots of the garden.
This is Ligularia "Britt Marie Crawford" it didn't flower last year but is looking stunning at the moment. You cannot really tell from these pictures but it also has huge black leaves giving a striking contrast.

Also the new Petunia "Bubblegum" is looking amazing.

and the rose doesn't look to shabby either.

With the bush fires happening in Australia, we are having some unusual looking skies, this is a Sunset taken on the 19 January, from our deck. It is very orange due to the haze from the fires coming across the ocean.

and on that note that's it for now.
